At the request of several customers we are pleased to announce that we are offering our VAT courses in 2009 again.


Course Overview

1. Introduction to Value Added Tax & compliance - April 21 & 22

This course is designed for participants who have little or no understanding of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the European Union (EU).  The objective of this course is to give participants a basic understanding of the principles of VAT in the EU, best practice process approach on preparing and filing VAT returns, Intrastat returns and European Sales Listings and accounting process around VAT, such as VAT account structure, reconciling etc.

2. Value Added Tax in practice - May 13 & 14

This course is meant for participants who have (some) experience in the area of Value Added Tax in the European Union and like to get a more in-depth understanding.  Also for participants of the course Introduction to Value Added Tax and compliance.  The objective of this course is to give participants an in-depth understanding of the various VAT transaction types, in-depth understanding of the VAT treatment of various business models (buy/sell, agent, commissionaire etc.) and VAT package 2010 (new place of supply rules).

3. Value Added Tax for accounts payable - June 17 & 18

This new course is designed for accounts payable employees having to deal with Value Added Tax (VAT) while entering purchase invoices in the host system.  The objective of this course is to give accounts payable participants a basic understanding of the principles of VAT in the European Union (EU), understanding of impact of VAT entry errors, best practice process approach on entering purchase invoices correctly for VAT.

Registration fee for each 2-day course is EUR 595 (excluding VAT) per participant!
